Greene County sophomore Rachael Danielson was medalist at the Region 1 Class 4A final golf meet held at the Carroll Country Club Monday.
Danielson shot an 84 for the 18 holes. She will play in the state meet May 31-June 1 at Coldwater Links Golf Course in Ames. The individuals with the five lowest scores qualify for the state meet. The other four individual qualifiers were from Creston and Spencer.
In team competition the Rams placed eighth of 10 teams. Creston shot a team score of 349 and Spencer compiled a 379 to qualify for the state meet.
Other scores were Harlan 384, Lewis Central 415, Carroll 417, Denison-Schleswig 419, LeMars 428, Greene County 437, Storm Lake 446 and Glenwood 478.
